Canada Day Weekend

Along with Canada's birthday, the twins celebrated a number of changes in their lives. They both have four teeth now (two upstairs and two downstairs as Nathan would say), they have both moved into the same room, they had their first swim in a pool on Saturday and they each have their own big-baby car seats and stroller. Despite sharing a lot of "firsts", Jamie and Ally couldn't be more different! We noticed this as soon as they were born and as they grow older, the differences become more and more pronounced. He hates hats and she loves them; she can't stand to be buckled into anything and he'll happily sit and watch the world go by; she loves being held and he'll bounce right out of your arms; she's 'this close' to crawling and he rarely rolls onto his tummy; the list is endless... The only thing they seem to have in common is a winning smile :)

Nathan had his first experience picking Ontario strawberries on Canada Day and we (mostly yiayia) turned those yummy strawberries into even yummier strawberry pies. We also helped cousins Tina and Justin celebrate their wedding on Saturday evening. Congrats to the happy couple.
