Sweet Dreams

We snuck in to Nathan's room last night to take some pictures of his first night in his BIG BOY bed. We bought the bed almost 2 years ago now with the idea that we would move him into it so we could use his crib when the twins arrived. Yeah, right. He could actually happily stay in his crib for even longer, but now he wants to stay up in the afternoons and while we still give him some quiet time in his room, we wanted to give him the opportunity to crawl into bed if he got tired (it could happen!). He was thrilled at the fire engine red colour of his new bed and even chose his own pillow at the store.

If you could only hear the snoring! We have to figure out if it's possible to post video on this blog! On the other hand, the twins aren't sleeping quite so well. The past three nights both have been waking up screaming around midnight and despite our cuddles and back rubs, both remain inconsolable for a few hours before exhausting themselves and falling back asleep. Teeth? Who knows? Any ideas?

Nathan sleeping with both squirrel and froggie. He named them when he was 18 months - his literal period. If he were to rename them today, I'm sure they'd have names like "black horse" or "DOG!". It's very NOW (and clutch your gut hilarious) to call things by names that they're not!
